Weingut Andi Knauss, Riesling 2023

Andi Knauss came from a family of farmers, but moved across to winemaking in 1995. Now his kids have taken up the winemaking mantle, and the family works side-by-side in Germany's Weinstadt region; farming 18ha of vines, some of which are 60 years old and are now fully organic certified. Riesling 2023 is taken from plantings across Weinstadt; in a nutshell think a balanced acidity with a fresh lime twist. Notes of pepper, fresh green apple and winter spices on the finish. A wine which bounces effortlessly between easy, uncomplicated quaffability and classic Riesling aromatics and complexity. Excellent price for the quality.
